2020 : The year ahead

To name but a few, with the Olympics, European Football championships and Chris Froome back in the saddle to perhaps contest another Tour De France victory, there is plenty to look forward to in 2020.

Will the Employment Marketplace also offer this mixture of delights? Only time will tell…

Our forecast for 2020 is build upon a number of factors but will result in a positive year. We anticipate:

• An immediate reaction to Brexit
• An increasing number of companies declaring blanket “inside IR35” announcements
• A turbulent H1 within the contracting community because of legislation changes in April 2020
• Increased numbers of contract roles from H2 onwards
• Increased levels of Permanent vacancies
• A greater demand of engagement tools to create and elevate an organisation’s EVP
• Permanent Salaries to stabilise in H2 / Q3 after a modest overall rise in them
