Software Tester / QA Analyst

West Midlands

Working for a leading and growing software company in the West Midlands, a new and career developing role now exists for someone who wishes to further develop and establish a career within Software Testing. Working in a small team, you will operate in a busy software development and delivery function to ensure web and mobile services are adequately tested and fully operational. Additionally, you will be involved in:

  • Ensuring that software releases and platforms are supported by testing procedures.
  • Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities for the team.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
  • Construct meaningful and robust test plans together with developers, business analysts and business subject matter experts.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product owners) to identify system requirements

Suitable candidates will have a track record of Software testing and have a desire to gain automated testing skills. Typically, you’ll possess skills in:

  • Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Working in an Agile/Kanban development process.
  • Software Assurance
  • Ideally an ISTQB or recognised equivalent certificate in Testing but is not essential.
