Working for a worthwhile and established company, a new and interesting role now exists for a software tester. Typically, you’ll be involved in the following:
- Ensuring software is tested and fit for purpose
- Performing functional, regression, exploratory testing as needed
- Reporting defects using JIRA to track bugs and lifecycle
- Contribute to documentation of currently running/available services and products
- Maintaining all testing documentation for current projects
- Ensuring every project and product release is completely and robustly tested to the fullest extent possible.
- Ensuring there is archived documentation of all testing processes for each release
- Quality assurance for end product releases
- Liaising consistently with the developer(s) and the project manager(s)
Suitable candidates will have a desire and aptitude for software testing. You’ll also have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- At least one year’s experience testing web applications
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate data including the use of formulas
- Good knowledge of how database driven websites work
- Knowledge of how mobile applications and API’s work
- Experience in translating requirements and software applications to testing scripts
- Ability to organise and report the test outcomes
- Knowledge of test methodologies and standards
- Communicate clearly and easily with a wide range of professionals
- Methodical and logical approach to work
- Work on own initiative
