Junior Developer

This is an exciting time and a fantastic opportunity for a junior software developer to join our successful and experienced Development Team.

  • Play an active role in developing components for our next-generation software services
  • Build up towards working with 3rd party suppliers and APIs to integrate our platform with other systems and tools
  • Learn how to and then help define and implement software development best practices and drive initiatives to improve quality in a fast-moving environment
  • Assist other junior developers and our technical support team to help improve their skills and solve problems
  • Investigate and resolve issues escalated by our technical support team on our existing platforms
  • Participate in code reviews with other developers to improve quality and spot potential problems before code is released
  • Work with the wider business to help test new application releases
  • Write and maintain development documentation for reference

About you:

  • You’ll possess either a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or a higher level apprenticeship involving software development, ideally in either C#.NET or PHP
  • Have a desire to work on developing software on the Microsoft platform (ASP.NET or Windows Forms, C#, SQL Server) in a multi-tiered architecture. Work on tools such as Git source control.
  • Possess excellent communication skills – verbal and written, self-starter with strong self-management and time-management skills.
  • Skills you’ll develop in time: C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, SQL (including T-SQL) and XML.
