Working for an established business within the Retail sector, a new and exciting role is now available for an individual to manage, future proof and be responsible for the companies IT systems. Managing a small team, you ensure Network effectiveness and efficiency, engaging with business areas to satisfy their IT requirements and implement technologies to future proof the company and enable its strategy. This will also include data protection / GDPR obligations. Typically, you’ll be involved in area and duties which include:

  • IT Service provision
  • Supplier Management
  • overseeing IT spend and budgets
  • Defining, implementing and maintaining Policies
  • Providing Hands-on IT Support and consultation to internal and executive stakeholders
  • Data and IT Security
  • managing the task and time of others
  • Researching new technologies and the developments within IT and business systems
  • Managing IT related projects

Successful candidates must have a proven track record of leading a team and possessing the ability to be responsible for the effective execution of their strategy and the successful upkeep of the network and all its associate peripherals. Skills in the following are essential:

  • Windows OS and Servers
  • Active Directory
  • Hyper-V
  • Office365
  • SAN
  • Firewalls, anti-virus and data protection methods and systems
  • LAN & WAN
  • VPN, DNS, DHCP, VoIP, TCP/IP
  • SQL Server
  • Back-ups
