A new role has arisen for a successful candidate to develop and lead the IT Development team who are responsible for producing the requirements, developing, delivering and supporting innovative solutions to the Business. Managing the successful delivery of projects will require you to plan, coordinate and lead activities across the full delivery lifecycle. This will include working closely with the department’s Team Leaders, Business Analysts and Developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders as required.
Being an experienced Development manager capable of leading development projects across predominantly Microsoft C# .Net MVC, SQL Server technologies and Web API’s, the successful candidate will be responsible for the resource management, recruitment, development and growth or our development capabilities and for encouraging employee engagement championing employee wellbeing in alignment with the core culture and values.
Successful candidates must have experience in areas such as:
- The ability to motivate, inspire and positively influence colleagues
- Display a high degree of flexibility in approach and thrive in a constantly changing environment
- Experience in effectively matrix managing a large population of people
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders across different levels of seniority.
- Strong leader and ability to get people to follow and deliver your vision.
- Great communications skills and ability to clearly communicate complex, abstract ideas
- proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment
- experience in a variety of software development approaches and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
- experience in both architecture and implementation-level software design
- experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques and process improvement approaches
- experience in the development of software using Microsoft C# .Net MVC, SQL Server technologies and Web API’s
